![]() ![]() The use of time-delayed spells was last seen when Itachi had transferred Shisui's left eye into one of his crows, which was then sealed into Naruto. This echoes Itachi Uchiha's sentiments that the Izanagi had been designed to change a person's fate, and the Izanami had been created to prevent them from running from their fate. However, Izanagi activated in Madara's right eye, rendering his death as nothing more than an dream, and allowing him to live again. After Madara was defeated, killed, and presumed dead, his body was taken by Tobirama Senju for studies, and hidden deep in the forest of Konohagakure. Ī similar event took place during the battle between Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju, where Madara delayed the activation of the ocular genjutsu Izanagi in his right eye. Itachi then set a condition which restricted the jutsu from activating unless it comes into contact with the eyes of Obito Uchiha, who was originally assumed to be Madara Uchiha. This was first shown when Itachi Uchiha transferred the ocular jutsu Amaterasu into his brother Sasuke's eyes, which when used, caused Sasuke's eye to take on the same appearance as Itachi's. The Kaleidoscope Sharingan allows the user to transfer jutsu, as well as setting a timer or condition that will trigger the jutsu. The Kaleidoscope Sharingan is implied to give the user significant observation skills, implying that it's ability to read movements has improved. Madara's legend was at some point documented on the Uchiha stone monument, the contents of which can only be read progressively by the Sharingan, Kaleidoscope Sharingan, and Rinnegan. It became somewhat commonplace for Uchiha to kill their relatives in order to gain the Kaleidoscope Sharingan, and later make it's power permanent. Madara eventually transplanted his brother's eyes, which gained an everlasting light and bore a distinct appearance. According to Itachi Uchiha, this transplant can only take place between clan members, not everyone gained new powers, and these truths were only realized after numerous sacrifices. That is, the eyes become progressively blind with use, and the power will shut itself off. Īt some point a consequence of the Kaleidoscope Sharingan's use was discovered. He is legendary for taming the Kyubi as if it was a pet, and used it during his battle with Hashirama Senju. His eyes were said to leave shinobi on the battlefield in tremor. Madara then took control of the Uchiha clan, appointing himself as it's leader. Although it is not explictly stated, it is implied that the awakening of the eyes was an indirect consequence of them murdering another clan member. It was said that the two brothers strived to find new heights for their powers, and eventually came to awaken the eyes. ![]() The Kaleidoscope Sharingan was first seen among the Uchiha when awakened by Madara Uchiha and his younger brother, Izuna Uchiha. This ultimately culminates in the awakening of the Kaleidoscope Sharingan, symbolizing the height of Madara's power. The stronger these feelings are, the stronger the Sharingan becomes. The Sharingan is thus a phenomenon that reflects the heart. It is called a "special condition", triggered by a special chakra in the Uchiha's brain that reacts with their optic nerves. ![]() According to Tobirama Senju, Sharingan is said to be awakened by an Uchiha's hatred, which naturally occurs when their bond with a special person is threatened. The Sharingan was an ocular jutsu and bloodline trait of the Uchiha clan. ![]()
